Chimi emerencia, nursing services supervisor at Nkwen Baptist Hospital. She identifies herself as   Florence Nightingale, the mother of modern nursing; These are 24 great years within the Baptist Convention of Cameroon (CBCHs).

It’s a very difficult journey for the jumper of lives at the Baptist hospital, since she began her mission at the CBCHS of Nbingo-kom then at the Baptist hospital of Nkwen followed by the Baptist hospital of Bamenda where she served as Center Manager and later Supervisor of Nursing Services (SNS).

In addition to being a brilliant nurse, her thirst for training was only satisfied when, in 2020, she returned to school to obtain a first degree in health systems strengthening at the University of Manchester and in 2022, for a Masters in Public Health at Bamenda State University.

Her discipline and rigor allowed her to access positions of responsibility within the hospital. She was head nurse at Nbingo-Kom hospital for three years before being appointed in September 2011, head of the center of Nkwen Baptist Hospital, in 2015 she was appointed supervisor of supervisors of nursing services.

She draws her super strength from her family, a strength which helps her overcome everyday difficulties, notably the challenge of providing quality health care to patients in an environment and a country where poverty does not help matters. ; it is just as stressful to manage staff from different backgrounds, with varied mentalities and above all a situation where around 20% of staff are working for a majority of 80% inactive; another challenge, the problem of working with nurses recruited from different training schools with different training courses.

It is her humanitarian side that takes over when she provides care to patients.
