Fight Against Covid-19: Paul Atanga Nji Encourages Staff To Get Vaccinated

The Minister of Territorial Administration has prescribed the anti-Covid-19 vaccine to all staff of his Ministry.
The head of the ministerial department launched last Thursday, September 2, 2021 a two-day vaccination campaign for the benefit of his 350 employees, by requiring that they be administered the vaccine with women and children for the married staff and boyfriends/girlfriends for the unmarried staff.
Territorial Administration Minister Paul Atanga Nji wants all of his staff vaccinated against the Coronavirus pandemic. He said this Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the launch of an anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign in his ministerial department that “the way to fight Covid-19 is vaccination as vaccination is not a story of witchcraft. I only want to hear these stories when you are vaccinated, there is a chip on you, and when you go left or right, the cameras will film you,” the MINAT head declared with conviction.
For two days, Paul Atanga Nji expected his 350 employees to be vaccinated with their families, both married and unmarried staff. “Leaders who are married come with wives and children who can be vaccinated; those commonly known as single, a woman who is not married, comes with her boyfriend, a man who is not married comes with his girlfriend,” he added.
This measure imposed by Minister Atanga Njie applies to all the staff of his ministry, from the driver to senior executives, and will then be prescribed to the governors of the regions and to the entire chain of territorial command for the relay.
Even if Paul Atanga Nji indicates that he will personally supervise this vaccination campaign, it is important to clarify that the ambiguity about the compulsory nature of the vaccine has already been resolved, and that it is for the moment optional.
In Cameroon, from 3 January 2020 to 3 September 2021, there have been 84,210 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1,357 deaths, reported to WHO. As of 30 August 2021, a total of 428,255 vaccine doses have been administered.
Despite measures put in place by the Cameroon government to enhance Vaccination thereby limited the spread of the covid-19 pandemic, Cameroonians have continued to be skeptical about the realities of the vaccines.
Research has proven that more sensitization campaigns need to be launched in order for the country to attain its objective of vaccinating at least 20 percent of its population before the Total Energies AFCON 2022. According to recent information made public by the president of the Republic on the occasion of the last submit of CEMAC presidents, less than 5 percent of the population has been vaccinated.
In the meantime, Cameroon has received 894, 808 doses of vaccines, including the Sinopharm vaccine, the AstraZeneca and the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
